1909

LUCY WOLCOTT BARNUM CHAPTER

The Lucy Wolcott Barnum Chapter was organized in 1909 by Louise Barnum Robbins in Adrian, Michigan.  She was unanimously reelected as Regent until 1917.  The Chapter was named for the great grandmother, Lucy Wolcott Barnum, of the Founding Regent. The Chapter was formally organized April 19th, 1909 with our Charter issued on October 10th, 1910.

1921

Our “Real Daughter”

Emaline Palmer (from her obituary in the Daily Telegram-1921)

“Mrs. Emaline Palmer, the last real daughter of the American Revolution in Michigan, and a former resident of Adrian, died Saturday evening (2 April, 1921) at her home in Highland Park.  Mrs Palmer, who was age 86, was the life chaplain of the Lucy Wolcott Barnum Chapter, DAR in Adrian.

1927

THE ABI EVANS CHAPTER

Nearby in Tecumseh, Michigan, the Abi Evans Chapter was organized by Founding Regent, Ayesha Raven Laidlaw.  The Chapter was named for Tecumseh’s first homemaker. The Chapter was organized on February 22nd, 1927, with the Charter issued December 27th 1928.
